From Collblanc to Camp Nou

Collblanc is situated in zone L'Hospital de Llobregat and known as fashion zone. It is right on the border with Barcelona city which allows you to relax from the hustle and bustle of tourism and in the meantime you have easy access to the center. Additionally, the neighborhood is home for famous stadium of FC Barcelona- Camp Nou which is a must-see for any football fun.Collblanc offers accomodation in reasonable prices, too. So why not to stay a night in the area and enjoy breakfast and shopping in the Mercado del Collblanc? The market was created by Ramon Puig and built in 1932, in Art Deco style. It is very local market but tends to be not very crowded. You can find fresh seafood fruits and vegetables, breads, crafts and other merchandise. For breakfast just pop in the cafe opposite the market and enjoy the delicious coffee and croissant ;)After you satisfied your belly, take a short walk up to the majestic Camp Nou. The stadium looks really impressive and if you ever watched a football game you ll feel the magic of the place! If you re big fun or just very curious tourist get yourself Camp Nou experience ($28-$158) and listen to FC Barcelona history in the place where the best players started.

Contemporary Art in Raval

Later in the afternoon it is time to switch from football to art. The MACBA museum and CCCB art centre in district Raval will provide you with magic experience of contemporary art scene from perspective of Barcelona. The permanent exhibition of MACBA presents chronological path through MACBA Collection from 1929 to present. The CCCB is just right next to the museum as part of an impressive urban cultural artery. The art centre hosts many cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts, festivals, debats or workshops, which makes it an appealing space for many visitors. The one which interested me the most is still on. This exhibition reviews career of New York director Stanley Kubrick and it s a must-see for a fun of Kubrick's work.If you re not so keen on art, you can wait for your friends just outside on the museum square and contemplate skaters doing impressive tricks. When your cultural visit comes to an end, certainly you will be eager to have a rest in the afternoon sun, eating tapas and drinking Sangria. You re lucky because Raval has much to offer in this field. Sit down in one of many cafes and restaurants or walk to one of the famous markets- photogenic and touristic La Boqueria or more authentic and quite Sant Antoni. Take colorful pictures of the stands and try some typical Catalan dishes. After treating your senses and belly, you can take walk along Rambla del Raval and take a photo with impossible to miss, fat el gato de Botero! Raval is also known for its alternative and Gothic style shops. On Tallers street you ll find many boutiques with handmade clothes and on Riera Baixa street, vintage thrift shops. Streets of Raval are full of history and life as much in a daylight as after sunset. Just enjoy!
