Naxos is inhabitated since ancient time and Melanes, with its hidden gems, is proof of that. Still off the mass tourist routes, maintain its unique character and authenticity. A visit in one of these old villages is a must if you really want to discover the island.
I'm pretty sure, after a while, you will realize that all the bakery in Naxos serve more or less the same products. That's exactly why I suggest you to have breakfast here. According to a local opinion ( and also mine) It's the best in town.
